Strengthen your brand. Expand your reach.
The 2023 World Community Development Conference (WCDC2023), ‘From the Edge’ is the first of its kind to have a strong First Nations focus since IACD started convening conferences in 1979. On the waterfront at the prestigious Darwin Convention Centre from 19-22 June 2023, over 600 delegates are expected and we are proud to offer several partnership opportunities.
WCDC2023 is being organised by the Australian Community Workers Association, Jeder Institute and Catalyse. Conference supporters include Tourism Australia, Community First Development, Borderlands Co-operative, Aboriginal Resource and Development Services Inc. (ARDS), Community Development Queensland and Inspiring Communities.
Working with the edge to deepen connection to community and culture.
Encompassing cutting edge papers, presentations, workshops, posters and creative installations on community development the conference will be grounded in three themes: Community, Connection and Culture. Because good lives for people and place require all three of these.
Why is your partnership important?
Supporting the conference is your chance to advance these themes and enable the myriad ways community development is addressing them across the globe. Your support will offer a range of opportunities for First Nations and diverse communities to contribute and participate in ways that will foster innovation that is fit for our changing world.
